It’s tragic! Our dear Stitcher seems to be experiencing some severe technical difficulties, and they may last a day or two more. So, how are we going to get our podcasts?
Well, there are few fantastic solutions you can use to find and enjoy your favorite shows, while Stitcher is down. Here are four great Stitcher alternatives (to temporarily switch to):
- Overcast: A beautiful, feature-rich podcast app for iOS.
- Downcast: A very solid podcast app which works well on Mac, iOS, and even the Applewatch.
- iTunes: This legacy podcast market remains a wonderful way to discover new and fantastic shows (although the listening experience could be better).
- Pocket Casts: A beautiful, feature-rich podcast app for Android and iOS.
- Soundcloud: While it’s traditionally been a music-focussed platform, many of the best podcasts out there now host on Soundcloud. They have a great search/discovery experience, and a wonderful, interactive listening experience (you can comment at specific points in time).
