Warning: Taking Your iphone in the Ocean is not Advisable

Recently I did something really stupid. I took videos of the ocean with my iphone…From a foot above the water. Suddenly a wave came crashing over me and my phone.

I thought it was a goner. But I had saved it. It was partially covered by a plastic bag, and my hand, and had a screen protector, and a strong case. The water was kept out and I dried it immediately. I got lucky. Wet phones do not do well. Do not put your phone near water. Seriously. Don’t do it. And also, as a side note, Don’t put it on a dirt ground. I almost did this once. The dirt will get caught in the ports and they will not function properly. I got lucky again. Be careful with your phones.

I would also not advise sticking your phone on a weather balloon and sending it to space like this guy and Freddiew did. Thanks for reading, and subscribe to our RSS or email Newsletter for more great posts.
