The Web is Changing- Facebook Preventing Suicides

Facebook is apparently rolling out a feature that allows users to speak immediately via facebook chat with a professionally trained crisis counselor. In recent years there have been several kids that were bullied to death by someone on a social network. Facebook has tried to prevent this. Recently they launched a feature that allows the user to alert a parent or adult, alert Facebook, alert the police, or tell the bully in question that their post or photo is hurting this person’s feelings. This latest effort is a major step. Kudos to Facebook for trying hard to fix a problem.
